Job Details

The Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of beverage production and service to our Members and guests. In addition to supporting all Club venues, events and fellow Employee Partners in delivering quality beverages and service, the Bartender maintains the bar, bar service areas and related storerooms in a neat, organized and secure manner. This Employee Partner follows the proper procedures for ordering, stocking, inventories, cleaning and ensuring opening/closing duties are performed to ensure bar readiness at all times.

Reports to: Clubhouse Manager

Works in conjunction with: Clubhouse Manager, Golf Clubhouse Manager & Director of Events

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain positive environment for all patrons to enjoy.
Prepare beverages for all patrons.
Specialize is foodservice efficiency.
Ensure bar area remains clean & well-maintained.
Assess customers' needs & preferences & make recommendations on how to improve service.
Plan and present specialty cocktail menu.
Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Comply with all NYS Health and Safety codes with regards to Food & Beverage.
Assist Clubhouse Manager with monthly Beverage Inventory.
Perform any and all other related duties assigned by the General Manager.

Candidate Qualifications

Must be able to develop inventory lists, opening and closing.
Ability to develop stocking and set up lists specific to the type of function, amount, and area of its deployment and service.
Advanced knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.
Advanced knowledge of the most common cocktails, garnishes, mixed drinks and specialty drinks.
Resume and proven working experience as a bartender.
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work within an empowered and fast paced environment that services the bar, satellite bars and servers of the Country Club.
County Specific Food Handlers Certification, State specific alcohol certification and/or TIPPs certification preferred.
